Enduring America Special: If It's Sunday, It Must Be Mr Obama's War

Yesterday the Obama Administration put on a full-court press for its Pakistan-Afghanistan strategy. The President went on Face the Nation on CBS --- we've got the video and transcript. We also have the full text for General David Petraeus and US special envoy Richard Holbrooke with CNN and Secretary of Defense Robert Gates with Fox News. And, as a global economy bonus, there is today's Obama interview with the Financial Times.
We'll offer a full analysis later, but for now have a look at how Mr Obama's War is being laid out for the US public.

Heh, let's not forget Joe Biden, and my new piece, done in the form of a FAQ, includes this passage...
But can we call it “Obama's War?”
No, this is not Obama's war. The fact remains that the military campaign in Afghanistan is a continuation of the retaliatory (read as: not a choice) invasion started by President George W Bush after the humiliating failure of his administration to prevent the devastating loss of civilian lives on September 11, 2001. Naturally, Obama would continue the policy of attacking the perpetrators of 9/11, albeit with the according changes mandated by his election, such as an end to torture, increased diplomatic engagement with enemies, etc.

Josh,
Point taken re GWB "war of choice" but (pending your analysis) I see Obama and Co. strategy re Pakistan as an "extension of choice".
