Just a Thought: Where are Those Riots?

As a follow-up to our item highlighting the scare story in the British and Irish Press, "If Obama Loses, Blacks Riot", just wondering if any of those intrepid reporters have found, "When Obama Wins, Blacks Riot".

I understand that Oprah may have caused a bit of trouble at the Obama rally in Chicago, but I don't think that counts.

This story is not prompted in any way by the discovery that "If Obama, Blacks Riot" has been our top-viewed story since our launch.

I am affraid of White Riot
We accustomed to hear Obama name in all analysis, critiques and news with his black race, although in no advertisements which introduces him, there is no emphasis on this race! If Obama was white, he would found more votes, in my opinion. The majority of people, who vote him, try to bold his democrat ideas and economic plans, not his race! In fact, they believe that Obama is “White, Too”, hence they denied announcing that Obama is Black a bit!
Obama, as a lucky member of Democrat party, has got chance of come to White house; moreover all of the voters expected him to solve the gloomy crisis of the United States. If he can do his promises, ok, he will make a good memory of the history of America, but if not there will be a White Riot! All the opponents can remember the racism differences and …. I am afraid of White Riot.

How fitting it would have been to have invited Quiet Riot to perform at Obama-palooza in Grant Park.

On a slightly more serious note, it did seem that Gore Vidal was 'hinting' at the possibility of ensuing racial violence in his brief appearance on the BBC.

It was also interesting to note the reaction of some of the crowd at McCain's concession speech as he talked on the issue of race. I got the feeling that some people were stunned that he should talk so favourably of a black man in the White House. Though this is, of course, just idle speculation.

But then again, they were probably just concerned about the 'Ayrab' connection...
