Obama & The Supreme Court: Scott Lucas on BBC World Service

I spoke this morning with Dan Damon of BBC World Service's World Update about President Obama's nomination of Elena Kagan to the US Supreme Court. The item begins at the 31:00 mark.

This is an individual that has not had any significant interaction with the public...and she's not the only one! Many in Obama's own cabinet are no different! Why does it seem that one of the primary qualifications to be nominated by this administration is to have no hands-on experience in the job that said individual is nominated to!?

It is a scary thought that her decisions could affect the lives of hundreds of millions of people.

Dr. Lucas - this nomination, Cameron inviting Nick Clegg to form a coalition government, Obama's assault on Arizona, the proposed mosque at Ground Zero, and so on, makes life on either side of the Atlantic feel like a BUM TRIP.

Thank you, Scott, for additonal information on Professor Kagan. Hopefully she will pass the hearings.
