EA on the Road: Scott Lucas in Dublin "Obama One Year On"

I'm at the US Embassy in Ireland tonight for a panel looking at President Obama's first year in office. Back to full EA service from mid-afternoon tomorrow. In the meantime, I'd be grateful if you can help out Mike Dunn the EA staff who are watching the shop --- keep  sending in the latest information and comments.

US Politics: Scott Lucas on Obama "1 Year On" and on the US Senate

A day of political chatter, as I find myself with a different view than US-based pundits of both President Obama's first year in office and of last night's Republican victory in the special election for US Senator in Massachusetts. Take your pick from BBC World Service (from start, my contribution from 0:11:45), BBC Radio 5 (1:39:20 mark), BBC Radio Wales (2:37:00), or BBC Radio Scotland (0:40:00).

Today's Downtime

We lost Enduring America today for a couple of hours. Our hosting company noticed immediately and worked to restore the site, which took until about an hour ago. We're now back up and running, but you may notice some slowness or parts of the site disappearing as I take the opportunity to install upgrades. As always, our Twitter feed will be updated with the latest news.

UPDATE: Upgrading is now complete.

EA on the Road: Talking About "America and the Middle East" in Beirut

HOBOI'm in Beirut for meetings and then a conference, hosted by the Center for American Studies and Research (CASAR) at American University Beirut, "Connections and Ruptures: America and the Middle East", until Saturday afternoon. I'll be dropping in to offer Iran updates as well as the best in news and analysis elsewhere, but I may be out-of-touch at times while Mike Dunn and the EA team mind the store. Apologies also for our server issues today. I'm presuming Mike has lined up the appropriate folks for a bit of a flogging.

Possible Downtime

Further to my previous post about our hosting migration, it seems that some readers are not seeing any updates on site. We're investigating.

UPDATE: Our hosting company reports that this is a DNS issue, with certain ISPs not pointing readers to our new server. Using Google's Public DNS may help with this, but we can't offer any guarantees- any connection problems should however be temporary.
