Iran Propaganda 101: Mass Killing of Children in Connecticut --- The Jews Did It

The initial official reaction from the Iranian regime to last week's mass killing of 20 children and seven adults in Newtown, Connecticut was to offer condolences. President Ahmadinejad sent a message:

Is it not the time for meticulous investigation into the roots of such violent and shocking incidents? Is it not the time for careful reconsideration of the policies and plans which serve the interests of a small minority while leaving adverse effects on the rest of the society especially innocent children?

On Tuesday, there was a twist in the supposed sympathy: for Press TV, the "small minority" was not American, but Israeli. The website featured Michael Harris, a former candidate for Governor in Arizona now with the conspiracy-theory site "Veterans Today":

The facts are now becoming obvious. This is another case where Israel has chosen violence and terrorism where their bullying in Washington has failed.

Israel believes the US "threw them under the bus", particularly after the recent Gaza war, allowing Israel to be humiliated in the United Nations. Their response was to stage a terror attack, targeting America in the most hideous and brutal way possible, in fact, an Israeli "signature attack" --- one that butchers children, one reminiscent of the attacks that killed so many children in Gaza.

Harris bolstered his theory by claiming that Israel was also behind the mass killing of 69 young people in Norway in July 2011 by Anders Breivik.

Press TV succeeded in gaining attention for its story, which was the "Most Viewed" on its site throughout Tuesday and Wednesday. The response was far from one of applause, however. Max Fisher of The Washington Post, in a summary which rapidly spread across social media, wrote: "The PressTV story is sad and upsetting, mostly for its incredible insensitivity but also, to a lesser degree, for the obvious bankruptcy of Iranian propaganda."

Would this deter the Iranian outlet, pointing out the excess of its conspiracy fantasies --- "outrageous, offensive, and clearly counterproductive, for all the world to see", as Fisher concluded? 

No.

Today Press TV hands the megaphone to "Dr James H. Fetzer, an academic who has gained notoriety for his elaborate speculations about the Kennedy assassination and 9-11. Under the headline, "Israeli Death Squads Involved in Sandy Hook Bloodbath", he writes:

The Sandy Hook massacre appears to have been a psy op intended to strike fear in the hearts of Americans by the sheer brutality of the massacre, where the killing of children is a signature of terror ops conducted by agents of Israel. 

Somehow linking the Israelis to a sinister plot to ban assault rifles, Fetzer offers his proof in Sandy Hook School as the site of the mass killing:

The choice appears to be covertly revealing, where “Sandy” means guardian of men (as an allusion to guns) and “Hook” as a euphemism for hooking, gathering or confiscating the only weapons that DHS fears. And who better to slaughter American children than Israelis, who deliberately murder Palestinian children? 

And how did the Israeli team accomplish its act of terror?

The most likely scenario, given what we know now, is that Adam Lanza and his mother killed the day before. Adam's body picked up by local police. He was attired in a SWAT outfit, including body armor, and stored in the school. 

A three-man team entered the school, one was arrested in the school--cuffed and put on the lawn--two went out the back door, one was arrested, the third appears to have escaped. You can find this on helicopter videos. 

Those arrested are currently not in police custody; their names were never released. That is a telling sign that we are being sold a story that is based on fiction, not on fact. What else are the local police concealing? 

Despite what appears to be a near-horrific propaganda campaign, we no doubt will hear more from Press TV of what is being concealed. In another article, Gordon Duff --- who, like Harris and Fetzer, uses "Veterans Today" to put out his "analysis" --- promises, "School Killings, First Shock, then Blame and Conspiracy".

But if there is a conspiracy of significance here, it is not in the Jews massacring American schoolchildren. It is in how Iranian State media, to put out its English-language version of the world, managed to forge an alliance with a group of anti-Semitic US fantasists.
