Has anyone else noticed that people have stopped talking about whether this is just a Tehran phenomena? Today we take it for granted that these protests are taking place in universities all over the country, that was not the case even in June.

Adam, that is true, but you have to keep in mind that the students on campus are not representative of the populations of the cities their universities are in. Most of the students are coming from other parts of the country. That said, even back in June there were protests happening all over the country, before the campuses were even open so the Tehran-only argument never really help up anyway.

One exciting possibility of the campus protests, however, is that they will help the movement spread further into the rest of the country. If students can foster links with the people in their university towns, then it can only strengthen the movement.
