Just before flying to the US, I had the pleasure of an hour-long interview with Fintan Dunne of Break For News. Topics ranged from the state of the US interventions in Iraq and Afghanistan to the domestic battles over the economy and health care to the prospects for the world beyond America. Curiously, despite my concerns over US foreign policy and on global developments, I found myself speaking with a bit of optimism by the end of the hour.
