This morning, at the inauguration ceremony of Mohammad Sadegh Larijani, former President Hashemi Rafsanjani and current President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad found themselves in the same place at the same time on the first occasion since the Presidential election. The video of the meeting shows a cordial encounter:

Meanwhile, despite the suspension by Mehdi Karroubi of the protest in front of Etemade Melli newspaper, some protesters gathered (multiple videos):

I would rather ask: Who made the seating plan? To me Rafsanjani seems to know all the time what's coming, while Ahmadinejad seems surprised and not fully prepared when he discovers there's no other seat left for him.

[...] Reuters sind es dann auch schon “mehrere Hundert Demonstranten“. Und hier einige Videos. Veröffentlicht in News. Kommentar schreiben [...]

I'm a day late looking at these - Thank you again to the EA folks for all your efforts - but I agree with the comment above that the body language seems hostile and more of a "forced" courtesy. To anyone who's been to any Iranian events, the gestures are very common so I do not agree with some recent comments I have seen that Rafsanjani is "bowing" to Ahmadinejad. Also I assume the videos were removed to protect those whose faces were captured, if so I applaud the move.
