Based on a report by Josh Harkinson of Mother Jones:

A few hours after a replica of Occupy Wall Street was set up in New York's Foley Square for the filming of a new episode of Law and Order Special Victims Unit, the real Occupy Wall Street announced plans to take over the model one, sending the message via Twitter on Wednesday night with the hashtag #Mockupy.

"They've delivered us this perfectly wrapped Christmas present with a bow on top: They rebuilt our camp," OWS organizer Jake De Groot said. "How could we not go and take it?"

At 1:00 a.m., the police began pushing protesters out of the park and dismantle the set. Cue more humour: "NYPD does not respect Law And Order," the crowd chanted . An occupier asked an officer, "Are these real barricades, or a setpiece?"

A few minutes after the police cleared the fake Occupy site, the real occupiers regrouped on a nearby set of steps for an impromptu general assembly: "This is beautiful, and this points out to us a more clever way to fight the struggle."

"Whose park?" a  man yelled.

All replied, "Our park!"
