Iranian officials have been declaring for many months that they are preparing cyber-campaigns to put down the seditious opposition and to spread Tehran's message throughout the world.

The Supreme Leader has proclaimed that the "Islamic Awakening" will not only sweep the Middle East and North Africa but revive Europe and North America.

While the regime is not too keen on attention to protest inside Iran, it is very keen to highlight protest elsewhere.

Put it all together and what you do get? "Wall Street Fall"

The website is the effort of Iran's Basij militia to show its alliance with the "99%" of the Occupy movement in the US. Presented in Persian and in English, it offers the week's agenda of Occupy Wall Street, high-definition videos, and the latest news --- this morning's feature is "Second Vet Injured by Cops at Occupy Oakland". And it is not just the headline gatherings in New York and California that get attention: you can read that "US Police Arrest 10 Tulsa Protesters".

Mohammad Reza Naqdi, the head of the Basij, proclaimed as the effort was launched, "This news website can be influential in informing people, especially those truth enthusiasts living in the west who are captives of universal Zionist media propaganda."

So if you are a "captive of universal Zionist media propaganda", liberate yourself. You may have missed the Arab Spring, but you can have your Wall Street Fall, courtesy of the Iranian regime's commitment to openness and dissent.
