UPDATED Iran Breaking: Uncertainty if Lawyer Nasrine Sotoudeh Arrested

UPDATED 5 September 1500 GMT: Reza Khandan, Nasrine Sotoudeh's husband, has told the Los Angeles Times that her lawyer visited Evin Prison hours ago and was told that Sotoudeh would be interrogated for an indefinite time.

"I do not know what the accusations are," Khandan said. "But last week when the security men came to seize the hard drives of the computers the search warrant read, 'Nasrin Sotoudeh, accused of acting against national security and collusion.' But the search warrant did not clarify collusion with whom or which country."

We reported earlier this week that Iranian authorities, as part of the crackdown on defense attorneys, had raided the office of Nasrine Sotoudeh, also known as a women's rights activist. Sotoudeh, who had protested earlier this year when her clients Arash Rahmanipour was executed at dawn without her notification, subsequently spoke to Rooz Online about the raid.

Inevitably, the authorities have taken further action. Sotoudeh's husband, Reza Khandan, reportedly told The Los Angeles Times that his wife was summoned and arrested today.

The Feminist School posts a slightly different account with Khandan, Nasrin’s husband said he had not seen his wife “after hours of waiting" for her after the hearing;  “I have been told that it not certain whether a warrant for her arrest has been issued or not.” Soutoudeh's lawyer Nasim Ghavni said he and Khandan would return on Sunday morning to "find out what the outcome is from the court”.

There is no news about Sotoudeh's whereabouts.
